DR. BRENT MCINTOSH
I’m a pastor, counselor, and educator with over 30 years of experience, holding a doctorate in psychology. (While I have extensive experience in counseling and guiding others, please note that I am not a licensed psychologist or therapist.) Most of my time in ministry was spent as a youth pastor, walking alongside the next generation, helping them navigate faith, identity, and relationships. Whether leading retreats, teaching neuroscience, or supporting those in crisis, my passion has always been to equip others with the tools they need to grow and thrive.
Beyond my work, my greatest joy is my family. I’m married to Erin, and together we have five incredible children—Timbrel, Jadon, Jude, Isaiah, and Abraham. They’ve shaped my understanding of love, resilience, and what it means to walk through life’s highs and lows together.
Now, I’m expanding my reach through social media, coaching, and creative storytelling. Through PresenceU, I’m creating a space where people can find relational healing, practical wisdom, and personal transformation. Whether through coaching, online courses, or animated content, I help people rediscover joy, build strong connections, and step into their true purpose.

 MY STORY
Â
Â
In 2023, I faced a series of life-altering events—a cardiac arrest, a severe traumatic brain injury, and profound personal loss. Recovery was grueling, and for months, even basic sensory input was overwhelming. My nervous system was so fragile that I had to live in a dark closet for half a year, unable to tolerate light, sound, or movement. I couldn’t drive for almost a year. At the beginning, I battled severe hallucinations as my brain worked to heal, making the world feel both foreign and unpredictable. And as I fought to regain physical and cognitive strength, I was also walking through deep grief, including the sudden loss of my son-in-law. That season tested everything I knew about resilience, faith, and healing.
But through it all, I discovered something deeper—how to rebuild, how to find hope in the hardest moments, and how to walk alongside others in their own journeys. My experiences didn’t just change me; they refined my calling. Having navigated both neurological and emotional upheaval, I now use what I’ve learned to help others facing their own struggles—whether overcoming trauma, finding clarity in confusion, or reclaiming joy after loss.
Now, through PresenceU, I’m creating a space where people can heal, grow, and rediscover joy. Whether through coaching, teaching, or storytelling, my goal is to offer practical wisdom, encouragement, and real tools for transformation. No matter what you've been through, your story isn’t over—and I’d love to walk alongside you as you step into what’s next.
